Home Laser Printers

Contrary to popular belief, a home user has the highest demand for home laser printers. In an office setup, a printer is normally used for only one to two types of job, usually for printing office memos and important documents. At home, a printer is more of a handyman. It is used to print school reports, digital photos, newsletters, or even a page from the internet. For this reason alone, home laser printers that you buy must be the one that can provide for all of your printing needs.

Thanks to today’s advanced technology, there are many color home laser printers available. And they are fast replacing the usual monochrome laser printers used both at home and in an office set up. When it comes to price the colored lasers sell for more than twice as much. But they are worth every single penny because they can practically perform what an inkjet printer can do for you and can function as wireless laser printers as well.

If you’re looking to buy home laser printers, decide whether you want colored or purely black and white prints. Usually, the issue here would the price. Xerox’s ColorQube, for example, can cost as high as $2,499. But it is usually worth the investment, as these printers can produce more output and at a better speed than what an inkjet printer can. The cost per print is so much lower than inkjets as well.

However, if it is just for home use and that price is too high for you,a strong suggestion is that you simply buy two home laser printers. The first would be one of the home laser printers producing monochrome prints and the other is an inkjet printer that can produce full color prints.  Black and white home printers won’t cost you more than $100, if you chose the one with the most basic features. Good examples of home laser printers are the Brother HL-2240, Dell 1130, and the HP Laserjet Pro P1102w.
